Instructions
Chop the onions, tomatoes, and cilantro.
In a bowl, combine the cooked chana/chickpeas and chopped veggies.
Now add chaat masala, salt, red chili powder (or green chilies), and black salt.
Squeeze half a lime/lemon into it. and mix everything together.
Notes
You can use canned chickpeas as well. 1 cup cooked chickpeas are approximately 3/4th can.
If you don't have chaat masala you can simply add cumin powder and dry mango powder or make your own chaat masala. This recipe by The Spruce eats can be made in just 20 mins.
If this is a pre-planned dish, then squeeze the lime/lemon into the chana well in advance (1-2 hours). It helps bring out the flavor very well.
